FAQs

Why spreadsheets instead of accounting software?

Because spreadsheets, when designed with purpose, can offer flexibility, transparency, and human-readable insight.

You are not logging into software to interpret a dashboard that feels far removed from your real life. You are receiving clear, organized financial reports in a format that is easy to read, review, and understand.

Is this just basic spreadsheet bookkeeping?

No. This is a done-for-you bookkeeping experience built on a structured, automated and AI-supported spreadsheet system.

Your transactions are organized, categorized, reconciled, and reflected back to you through reports designed to help you understand what happened, what changed, and what may need attention.

Will my tax preparer accept this?

The reports are designed to be tax-preparer friendly, with clear income and expense categories and Schedule C alignment where applicable.

Because each tax preparer may have their own preferences, I recommend sharing your reports with them early so they can confirm whether they need anything formatted differently.

Do I still need accounting software?

For many simple personal finance or service-based small business situations, spreadsheet-based bookkeeping may be enough.

If your business requires payroll, inventory, sales tax, complex invoicing, or industry-specific accounting workflows, accounting software may still be the better fit.

How do I share my transaction information?

You will share your transaction data through a simple monthly process designed around your setup.

For some clients, this may mean bank statements or CSV exports. For others, it may include payment processor reports or secure spreadsheet-based options that help make transaction sharing easier without adding unnecessary software complexity.

The goal is to keep your role simple: share the records in the agreed format, answer any clarification questions, and review your reports.

You will not be expected to rebuild your books yourself each month.

Can this include both personal and business finances?

Yes, where appropriate. Soulful Spreadsheets is designed for holistic visibility, which may include personal finances, business finances, or both.

For business owners, this can be especially helpful when personal and business decisions affect one another and you need a clearer view of the full picture.

Do you still offer QBO support?

While I am a Pro Advisor, QBO support is limited and offered separately for bookkeeping firms or firm-based workflows.

For direct clients, MyAdon Bookkeeping: Soulful Spreadsheets is the primary offering.

However, if you need full QuickBooks support, feel free to reach out and I'm happy to point you toward the right resource.
